Reports coming from St. Petersburg, Russia, this morning indicate that a terror attack was perpetrated in a metro station in the populous city.

Russian officials are stating that a nail bomb was detonated inside one of a metro trains after an unknown man threw a backpack containing the bomb into the densely packed metro car. Current reports are indicating there are 12 dead and over 50 injuries, 25 of which are serious.
According to Russian news network RT :
“The explosion happened as the train was travelling between the stations Tekhnologichesky Institut and Sennaya Ploshchad of the St. Petersburg Metro, the National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) confirmed.”
Police and security forces have been mobilized in the city to prepare for possible follow up attacks but currently the NAC states that there has been no indication that coordinated followup attacks may be forthcoming.
Although no terrorist organization has yet to claim responsibility for the despicable action ISIS was quick to praise Allah and embrace the attack, maiming and murder of Russian civilians.
